Welcome to the most beautiful environmental project in Costa Rica. Located within the corridor followed by birds migrating between North and South America, the trails and bridges of this project will bring you as close as you could ever hope to get to thebirds, the !owers and the lush vegetation of the primary rain forest. You will be able to walk right into the forest, thanks to the imposing hanging bridges and the beautifultrails that are safe and easy to walk on. The Hanging Bridges project consists of eight(8) *xed bridges, ranging in length between 8 and 22 meters, and six (6) hanging bridges, built with the latest techniques and designed with an eye for both beauty and safety. The hanging bridges are between 48 and 98 meters long. All the bridges are made of galvanized steel and high-strength aluminum. The safety mesh and the suspension cables are all galvanized steel. The entire project was designed to blend with the natural environment, leaving the forest virtually intact. The trails, covering a distance of about 3.1 kilometers, are right inside the forest. As you walk, you be able to appreciate the great diversity of !owers and wildlife that are typical of the rain forest. Given the roughness of the terrain, the trails are joined by the eight *xed bridges and six hanging bridges described above. The trails have been laid out with amaximum grade of 7 degrees, so that anyone can walk on them

Before the active period of 1968, a lavish canopy of vegetation covered the Arenal Volcano. People that climbed Arenal’ s summit related that inside the crater there were big trees and at night, they slept in places where there was some heat due to small steam outlets. Right now the green area is located at the east side of the Mountain, and other little green parts can be seen on the north and the south of the volcano. Enjoy the most extraordinary view of the Arenal Volcano on a gentle Hike along the base of this marvelous “Mountain of Fire”. The Hike begins in one the trails close to the volcano, this trail will take us through the forest over recent lava !ows and the area destroyed in 1968 now in the process of regeneration. We are going to be on this trail for about 2 ½ hours. At the hot springs our customers can enjoy a healthy and relaxing soak, it is also possible to see the Arenal Volcano activity from your comfortable spa. 

Canyoning Waterfall Rappel Tour (W/Lunch) Our trip begins with a 30-minute 4x4 drive into the tropical rainforest outside the town of La Fortuna, in the shadow of the Arenal Volcano. We trek through the forest on magical trails that lead to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica, a place very few people get to experience. Along the way, we will have the chance to discover the secrets that lie hidden deep within the canyon. From the first waterfall, we will rappel down from the top into the beautiful and pristine canyon below. The adventure includes four rappels, three of which are along waterfalls, and one dry rock face. Then just a short trek out of the canyon, jump in the vehicles and head back to the base camp. The tour is approximately 4 hours in duration. It includes lunch at the base camp and snacks in the canyon.
